Composition
Our line is made from Xtra Life Lycra, a material known for its durability, resistance to chlorine, sustainability, and fit retention. Swimwear made from Xtra Life Lycra is known to last up to 10x longer than traditional bikini fabric.
The Breakdown
Skin Safe
MIDORI swimwear is STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX®. This annual, voluntary certification process goes beyond national and international requirements and it is something we confidently stand behind to ensure that your bikinis are free from many of the potentially harmful chemicals often used in apparel manufacturing.
Manufactured Ethically
Approximately 90% of the women employed by our factory partner are ‘head- of-household.' They are paid higher than minimum wages and provided with social security and health benefits that improve their standards of living. Fair compensation is foundational to upward mobility and we embrace that truth in manufacturing our swimwear.
Sustainable
We partner with and donate to environmental organizations that preserve our oceans and natural resources while utilizing fabrics that are colored with environmentally-friendly, vegan dyes. The facilities we work with prioritize minimizing water waste and pollution. Excess fabric is turned into dog beds which are donated to local animal shelters.
Giving Back
We regularly donate to nonprofits chosen by the Midori Community.
